Feng Shui
A downloadable game for Windows
In Feng Shui you will be building a home and installing furniture to earn points
Goal is to earn as many points as possible when you run out of turns, you can do so by placing different furniture
and at the end of the game completed rooms with at least one piece of furniture will give you bonus proportional to their size and points you have earned.
Room is created when four tiles form a square and are connected to each other, if one tile is inside two or more rooms, they merge to become one group(mechanic may work funky near edges of the board so I would not use them to create rooms )
You should try to place your furniture in complete rooms as they will benefit from each other when located in one
Desk - Passively produces 5 * (desk level) points per turn, also decreases level of plants and beds in the room with it by one each turn
Bookshelf - At the end of the game gives 200 * (bookshelf level) points , each turn increases level of desks in the room by the level of bookshelf
Bed - Each turn calculates amount of space unused by other furniture in it's room, multiplies result by it's level and subtracts this many levels from everything else in the room except bookshelf to them it does the exact opposite and adds the number calculated to their level
Plant - Each turn decreases it's level by one, then if after this it's level is less than 1 it doubles level of everything else in the room.
Level of furniture can not go lower than 1, at least I hope that is the case
In theory sequencing is as follows: we are considering tiles and items in them from top to bottom of the left column and then moving one column to the right every time. When considering item first it applies it's default effect (the one that doesn't mention other furniture), then it applies effects on other furniture in the room. However in practice since I've done very little playtesting things may occasionally work in surprising ways, so please don't get frustrated.
Each tile can accommodate up to one piece of furniture, I didn't implement any checks for collision for furniture so have fun
Game contains library screeninfo to get resolution right, but everything is completely "homemade" (Shout out to Ilia for helping with room merging)
Controls:
Rotate pieces - R on the keyboard
